Design Thinking into the culture of rehabilitation

60 seconds shows an insight into the ‘inventor’ of Design Thinking – how to implement human behavior in design solutions, by David Kelley founder of IDEO.

IDEO is a 20 year old business! They do not include new science – but focuses on relevant design solutions in community – with inventing products and the impacts they have on our everyday lives.

Happy Help sees design thinking as a method, to improve and empathize the user in a rehabilitation culture.

Why not fashion the lives of stroke patients?

How: To use a multidisciplinary design approach, with insight build from observing rehabilitation units in London and Copenhagen. Including users, with hemiplegia to develop prototypes. Establish partnerships  with rehabilitation units, in both London and Copenhagen, to test and understand the further challenges and difficulties of the user. And trying locating co-creation opportunities with patient, relatives and staff – to re-design the outcome of Happy Touch.
