I sense a strong trend. Maybe its because the society will be ruled by people turned 60+ soon. Every research pins it! In the next 50 years the number og 60s will double and the number of over 80s will treble (un.org).
Think about that for a while.
66% of all mobility impaired are older people (age-link.com) That number will definitively raise, within the next 50 years.
I found this webpage www.seniorplanet.org, which I really enjoy following. Expecially when it post great and interesting films about people turned 60+ and how they live their life. It is truly inspiring, and for me I see a clear tendency. We need to prepare society – thereby our selves! As no one – even the Danish welfare system will be able to pay the cost for the amount of services the growing elderly population will need in the future.
If we try to change the mind-set about old people, as this great film, we might get a different opinion of the challenges we will by ourselves and our loved ones reach in the future.
