Sensory experiment at Danish High School

For two weeks a high school in Odense Denmark has engaged with Sisters Academy to implement aesthetics and emotions.

Under the theme “Education For The Future”, the two founders of Sisters Academy is given the chance to implement and effect the Danish school system. This by combining research, pedagogy, performance art and activism.

The experiment takes place at HF & VUC in Odense from the 24th of February to the 7th of March. 22 teachers, 175 students and 12 performance artists will join the idea – leaded by Gry Worre Hallberg and Anna Lawaetz from Sistersacademy.dk

“Sisters Academy is a school in a world and society where the sensuous and poetic mode of being is at the center of all action and interaction.”

To listen to what the students think, please have a look. The Sisters Academy put up a Confession Boot for the participants to come true – and it seems like the experiment positively affect the mind of the young students. An interesting connection, when an education environment is on the change!

The Boot is a part of what Sisters Academy call the “Sensuous Knowledge Production” – a part of interaction among students, the environment and the scope of sensory impact.

Are there any other environments where sensuous knowledge – could be a game changer?

Indeed! Read what the Danish news paper Politiken has written about the experiment (Sorry only in danish)!
