In May 2014 I sent a PhD project application to the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science in collaboration with Design School Kolding and The Region of Southern Denmark.
This week I got the reply from the Ministry – a refusal. So back on the horse, trying to develop the application further – with Design School Kolding and Region South, and very keen on finding a relevant partner for a collaboration to go again!
My application in May focused “Tactile User Interface – A Research of Combining Textile Thinking with Empathic Design to Humanize Welfare Technology in the Danish Healthcare System.” I see a huge potential in this combination and it is still my main area of interest. Therefore I am reaching out to collaborate either with a company in the welfare technology business or a public organization – as the type of partnership I am exited to build.

Luckily, I was asked to take a maternity cover as an Innovation Consultant at “Center for Communication and Welfare Technology in Region South” so that I now have something else to turn my focus at – and broaden my search for relevant partners.
First day: tomorrow – weeha!
