Got off to speed with the book “Textile Messages” today, from 2013 edited by Leah Buechley, Kulie Peppler, Michael Eisenberg and Yasmin Kafai. A great body of work or as the titel says “Dispatches From the World of E-textiles and Education” – as you can understand, the aim of the book is also to learn others to get hands on experience with basic electronics and garments! There is a huge potential (Especially in welfare design) – and the newest research is carried out by Associate Professor Sabine Seymour from Parsons New School of Design in New York.
