I had a blast last Wednesday visiting Parsons New School of Design in New York. I got the chance to follow a class called TIME lectured by Madeline Schwartzmann. I discovered the research of Madeline when I studied my Masters in Design; Health & Well-being at Kingston University in London. I was very interested in the body and how we perceive as human beings, to experience textures by touch.
I came across her book “See Yourself Sensing” and immediately fell in love with the great collection of artists and designers Madeline showcases in the publication.
Right now she is working on a second book – “See Yourself X” (X stands for extended) – we even brainstormed a little on the subtitle of her coming book! What I like about her work, is that she publish her research with short and reflective presentations of different kind of art, technology and design interlinked with te body, and illustrated with great photography.
If you want to follow Madeline, see her Facebook profile, where she often publish her inspiration and admiration for the quirkiness and funny elements of the body. Check out the cool front page of her book, that will be released in September 2015!
